I hit one on Harmar Hill a few years ago, in the middle of the day. It came out of pine trees, running full speed. And I have come very close many other times. This is the season for hitting them.

Ohio 7 just outside Fly. Deer came off an embankment and landed on the hood, tearing up the hood, left front fender and drivers door. No one in the car hurt but it was a brand new car, only about 2,000 on the odometer. Been extra cautious since, especially in the early morning and late afternoon hours, and of course at night.

Once was plenty! Took the grill out of my Ford Fairlane. Couple of years ago, my wife ran over (not into) a deer on 339 near Veto. The vehicle ahead of her (a van) took the brunt of the hit. The vehicle behind her also ran over the deer, but kept going. Stay alert! I saw 2 deer the other day just beyond the toll booth on the pay bridge.
